Drury is a collection of individuals, each bringing our own talent, flair, ingenuity and furrowed brow to every situation. We are consultants but firstly we are people: mums, dads, singletons, travel enthusiasts, artists, social media addicts, politicos, sports enthusiasts and music lovers.
Our widely different experiences enrich an accumulated wisdom, enabling different ways of thinking and ultimately ensuring the best possible service for our clients.

Anne-Marie Curran
Managing Director
Appointed Managing Director of Drury in June 2010, Anne-Marie joined the agency in 2004. Anne-Marie combines her management role with strategic client support on a wide range of assignments and acts as a senior consultant on many of the firm's retained accounts, taking an active role in special project work. She has worked on several large crisis projects in particular those involving litigation and major transactions in the infrastructure, financial services, logistics, and food and beverage sectors. Her work with her favoured charities, the Oesophageal Cancer Fund and Orbis Ireland has seen her make a dress from lollipops and run 10k in Ethiopia. A graduate of University College Dublin (U.C.D), there's a theme of three with Anne-Marie. She hails from Meath, Donegal and Kerry and she holds a DIT Masters in Public Relations, a Kings Inn Diploma in Legal Studies and a Diploma in Life Coaching.

Billy Murphy
Chairman
With almost 30 years experience, Billy has been at the forefront of the PR industry in Ireland since he co-founded Drury in 1989. Always a calm voice, Billy has a unique ability to challenge situations and viewpoints whilst offering balanced, unbiased perspectives of his own. He has worked with and counselled some of Ireland's most influential businesses and their leaders and is much sought after as an advisor in the most difficult corporate challenges. Billy's personal philosophy is to live for today - fitting for a person who works in an industry that throws up new challenges, and opportunities on an hourly basis. Billy is passionate about sports, music, art, family and food.

Breena Cooper
Client Director
Self-proclaimed lover of shoes and addicted to all things beauty-related, Breena is passionate about the fashion and beauty industry. With over 11 years experience in consumer and lifestyle public relations with strong media and blogger relationships, her expertise provides instant PR results for clients. Over the course of her career, she has worked on a wide range of consumer brands including Derma-skincare brands from the L'Oreal portfolio, Vichy and La Roche-Posay, Ireland's largest online department store, Littlewoods Ireland as well as the motor industry and FMCG group United Biscuits. In her spare time Breena supports Leinster, loves experiencing new city-break destinations and can be found enjoying a trad session on a weekend away in Ireland. Breena recently undertook a Diploma in Digital Marketing which included course modules on digital marketing strategy, social media and online PR. Breena also has BBS Degree in Marketing & Languages.

Gerry Naughton
Client Director
A native of Dublin, Gerry has a wealth of experience in the public affairs arena, straddling the political and public sector environment. He was Political Director at Fine Gael from 2003 to 2008 where he worked closely with the party leadership and contributed to the party's political recovery. During a 20 year career in the civil service he served as a Programme Manager and Private Secretary to a number of Ministers including Charlie McCreevey, John Bruton and Des O'Malley. Gerry was Director of Government and Media Relations at the Institute of Chartered Accountants from 1997 to 2002 and he was responsible for Communications at InjuriesBoard.ie before he joined Drury. When he is not tracking the latest developments in political and public affairs, his sporting interests can be summed up in four words - long-suffering, Liverpool, supporter (until September 2011, that list included Dublin!).

Iarla Mongey
Director
Iarla Mongey is one of the most insightful advisers on the Irish political establishment. A Mayo native, Iarla attended University of Limerick and NUI Galway and began his career in broadcast journalism in Galway and Limerick before moving on to RTE in the mid 1990's. He later served as political correspondent with INN and from there moved into government communications as the Deputy Government Press Secretary from 2000 to 2005. Based at Government Buildings for over five years, Iarla served as the senior political press adviser to Mary Harney in her capacity as Minister for Enterprise and subsequently Minister for Health. He joined Drury as its Head of Public Affairs in 2005 and was appointed to the company's Board in 2007. Iarla brings a discrete and highly informed perspective on the workings of Government, the Oireachtas and the Public Service and advises clients on public affairs, stakeholder engagement and reputation management. Iarla is an avid fan of rugby as well as sailing and has also been known to participate in the occasional triathlon.

Karen Ferris
Client Director
Karen has over eight years experience in public relations and has been with Drury since 2006. When she's not unplugging mobile phone chargers and costing low-energy light bulbs she's putting her own high energy into her work with clients, profile building for a number of public sector bodies and working with a range of clients across the professional and financial services area. Karen also has a specialist expertise advising on community and media relations for large-scale infrastructural projects. She previously held the exotic role of Political Affairs Advisor with the South Korean Mission to the EU in Brussels but originally hails from Tipperary and is very proud of her roots in the Golden Vale. Karen holds a first class honours degree and masters from the University of Limerick in Public Administration and Peace and Development Studies and is kept active with two young children and a love for politics and sport!

Laura Mannion
Client Manager
Adventurer, eco chic and consumer extraordinaire. Laura loves the instant gratification that comes with seeing her clients in the media, knowing the planning, passion and pure grit that it took to achieve. She is passionate about running, food and is full of the Donegal gab. Laura worked in the heart of Ireland's fashion industry before joining the Drury team in 2006, which is why she is a perfect fit for consumer clients. Laura holds an honours degree in English and Media Studies from the University of Ulster and an MA in PR from DIT.

Luke McDonnell
Client Executive
Luke joined the Drury team in 2011. Working with consumer, corporate, not-for-profit and healthcare clients, Luke has learned the knack of pitching a story to media and securing coverage for diverse clients. Having travelled the world for two years and worked in a number of roles across different continents, Luke knows the meaning of hard work. If he could go back to one country it would have to be Argentina; the country where he learnt to speak Spanish, and attempted the tango. A personable and old-fashioned guy, he would rather pick up the phone and say hello, than write an email yet has a presence on every social media platform available. Unflappable, driven and determined, Luke is always at hand to help, input and take the initiative to get things done. When not working, Luke volunteers with Dublin Simon Community, frequents the gym and considers himself a connoisseur of Ireland's national drink, tea. A graduate of DIT, Luke holds an MA in Public Relations and a BSc in Retail and Services Management.

Maria Hynes
Client Manager
Maria joined Drury as client manager in August 2012. With several years PR experience, Maria draws on her architectural background to bring creativity and strategic thinking to her work in corporate and consumer PR. With a calm and balanced approach, Maria strives to achieve the best and most effective results for her clients across traditional and social media.
With a mild addiction to retail therapy, Maria also enjoys travelling and music, but is at her happiest when heading west to her native Clare for walks on the beach and her mum’s home cooking.
Maria holds a BSc in Architecture and a diploma in Public Relations from the Fitzwilliam Institute.

Martha Kavanagh
Director
Martha is a director with ten years experience in public relations and reputation management. She is passionate about achieving the very best results for her clients. Martha understands that there's more to PR than column inches, although she's pretty good at achieving these too – she has developed and led several award winning campaigns for her clients in recent years. Prior to joining Drury in 2006, she completed Enterprise Ireland's graduate programme and was assigned to their Paris office for two years, where she worked with a range of leading Irish SME clients in the telecoms, ICT and financial services sector, giving her a healthy respect for entrepreneurs and exporting companies and a certain je ne sais quoi when it comes to advising her clients. A graduate of DCU, she holds a First Class Honours MA in International Relations, a BA in Applied Languages and is a fluent French speaker. Originally from Wexford, when she's not working, she is partial to yoga, retail therapy and trying out new restaurants in our fair city and further afield, which she tries to offset with bouts of enthusiastic but very slow running!

Morwenna Rice
Client Manager
Growing up with a name that requires a lot of repetition and explanation, Morwenna has an inherent level of patience which she carries throughout her work. Working in corporate, healthcare, not-for-profit and consumer PR, she is passionate about all forms of communications and is challenged and excited by marrying traditional tactics with newer more creative methods. Morwenna loves the 'begin with a blank page' nature of PR, which allows her to bring creative and fresh thinking to all that she puts her hand to. Her curiosity in all things new and different has led to her travelling around the world twice, working in Canada, Australia and New Zealand along the way. lover of rugby and music, Morwenna spends many a winter day shivering in the stands of the RDS and Lansdowne Road while her summer days revolve around festival fields and venues around the country. Morwenna holds an honours degree in Geography and Sociology from UCD and a diploma in PR and event management from Fitzwilliam Institute.

Orla Benson
Director
Orla's every contribution to our business and those of her clients reflects her 15 years experience in sales, marketing administration and public relations. Orla brings a considered but steely determination to every task, but always with an informed focus on what the client needs. A specialist in financial and corporate PR, Orla has been involved in some of Ireland's largest corporate transactions, merger and acquisitions and IPOs and knows intimately the many fine details that are required to communicate effectively in what are generally very complicated situations. For Orla, the relationship is key to success which is reflected in her many long standing and loyal client connections. Her young family keep her busy away from the office and she is also a keen and regular tennis player

Paddy Hughes
Director
Driven and determined, Paddy brings a tangible sense that he cares and that it matters to every client situation he enters; with Paddy it is always 'we'. His business focus is corporate reputation management and financial PR. An Offaly native and Kildare resident, Paddy has 20 years experience and has been part of the Drury team for over 16 years, during which he has been a pivotal player in some of the most exciting developments in Irish business. From 2003 to 2012, he put his commitment to PR to use as a member of the National Council of the Public Relations Institute and served a two year term as its national President.

Padraig McKeon
Client Director
With 25 years experience of PR and communications consulting, covering every sector of commercial life and organisations of every scale and profile, Sligo man Padraig, literally, provides the 'grey hairs' to the Drury mix. He remains hopelessly curious and continuously on the look out for new thinking and alternative approaches - not least in the area of digital and online communications. Padraig was managing director of the Drury business from 2004 to 2010 which equips him with a real appreciation of the needs of those leading and managing organisations. Combining his experiences, Padraig is a proven strategist with a deep understanding of how effective communication can make any organisation's objectives more achievable. He also has extensive experience of crisis management and public issue situations for clients - he can be relied on to see through the panic to manage even the trickiest messages. In addition to his roles in Drury, Padraig takes an active role in the wider business and civic community. He is a Director of the Dublin Simon Community. He is also a member of both the Governing Authority of Dublin City University (DCU) and of the Board of DCU's Educational Trust.

Ronan O'Keeffe
Client Executive
Ronan joined Drury in October 2010 having previously worked as a journalist with Hospitality Ireland magazine and ESM - European Supermarket Magazine. A keen sports fan, Ronan brings his interest in all matters competitive to bear when working with Ireland's most progressive bookmaker, Paddy Power. A native of Cork, Ronan is a sports and social media enthusiast, often tying in trips to foreign fields to check out major sporting events. He lives in hope of paying for these trips by backing winners on the race track, however he has yet to find the magic formula! With a degree in European Studies and a Masters in Peace Studies, Ronan brings a considered perspective to each project he works on. His keen eye for detail enables him to advise with confidence, leaving nothing to chance in the course of his research. A lover of all things Spanish and having lived in the country for a year, Ronan is a regular visitor to his adopted city of Granada, but a home bird at heart he is always happy when he lands back on Irish soil.

Suzanne Murray
Client Executive
Suzi joined Drury in November 2011 having previously worked with the international humanitarian organisation GOAL, where she worked as a fundraising officer. Her exposure to creative thought processes and methods implemented everyday by doctors, nurses and engineers working in the developing world left her with a passion for and understanding of the importance of innovation and creative thinking. A social media enthusiast, Suzi is also passionate about two things in life, travel and sport. Suzi holds an honours degree in Social Science from UCD and a Diploma in Event Management from Fitzwilliam Institute.
