Drury appoints new managing director

22 April 2010

Drury, the leading PR and communications consulting company, today announced the appointment of Anne Marie Curran as Managing Director with effect from June 1st 2010.  She will succeed Padraig McKeon who has held the position since 2004.

Ms Curran (aged 32) is a highly experienced public relations practitioner in corporate and financial communications with a specialist interest in professional services, litigation support and issues management.  Mr McKeon will remain in the business in a full time capacity focussing on client activity and innovation.

Mr McKeon said “I have hugely enjoyed the challenge of managing Drury over the past six years, through both periods of growth and of retrenchment in the economy. As a business we are in excellent shape with a strong team and client portfolio. Today’s announcement is an important step in maintaining Drury’s commitment to effective management of our business, something that has served us and our clients well since our foundation in 1989”.

Ms Curran began her public relations career in Fleishman Hillard and joined Drury in 2004. She holds a Masters of Public Relations degree from DIT, a B.A. International degree from UCD and recently obtained a Legal Studies Diploma from the Honourable Society of Kings Inns.

Commenting on her appointment Ms. Curran said “Reputation, be it in business, public life or civil society is more important than ever and there is a great demand for quality advice delivered with integrity. Drury has that track record, established with great care and commitment by all of my predecessors, and I look forward to building on Drury’s considerable capability, to create further opportunities and success for the business and all its team”.
